The Under Eye area is very sensitive with thinner moisture barrier and is more prone to dehydration and irritation compared to the facial skin. Dermis and Epidermis are thinner. Under Eye also has less oil and sweat glands. Various other factors like stress, lack of sleep, long working hours in front of computer, smoking etc., contribute to dark circles and puffiness.
